CAREER COACHING TESTIMONIALS

See What Clients Have Said!

After working with a resume writer and paying $850, I learned a valuable lesson from Peter. My resume writer developed a generic resume that was not job specific. I loaded the resume to my desktop and used it over 25 times to apply for jobs. I did not receive a single response or request for an interview.

I have worked with Peter now for roughly 45 days and have already secured 4 interviews. The key to my success working with Peter was that each resume was carefully customized for each opportunity. Peter worked with me on unlimited edits to use the key words from the job description in my resume. Peter taught me that most companies are now using resume screening tools that screen out any resumes that did not use the keywords optimized for each opportunity. Simply put, I wasted time and money working with my previous resume writer who created one generic resume that was completely ineffective.

Peter went beyond customized resumes. He helped me set up my LinkedIn profile, providing access to his nearly 1000 connections for important networking discussions. On two occasions these networking calls led to valuable referrals who helped put my resume in the hands of the hiring managers.

I learned that there are no easy shortcuts to landing my interviews. I researched the companies and the hiring managers and customized each resume per opportunity. Peter's pricing was more than reasonable and I would not have succeeded without his assistance. I would recommend Peter to anyone who is searching for their first job even with limited experience.

Thanks Peter for your excellent support.

I am a recent college graduate and have been trying to land a position in marketing. I felt that I needed assistance in creating my resume.  Unfortunately I wasted $300 on a service that reviewed my resume twice and provided feedback on what I needed.

I met Peter (Job-Seeker Owner) at a school presentation and he detailed a 4 step process that would kick start my job searching process. I quickly learned that there was a process that needed to be followed step by step to gain what I truly wanted. These steps included;

  • Exploring my passions and the right job with the right companies that fit my requirements

  • Using networking techniques and tools like LinkedIn to find the right contacts at the companies. I reached out to connections at these companies and I secured 5 informational 20 minute interviews.

  • Researching and creating a customized cover letter and resume that used keywords to help me avoid  being screened out by my companies of interest

  • I learned how to interview by gaining attention quickly through problem solving strategies and appealing to the interviewer with only relevant skills and experience that would help solve specific problems

Within 60 days of working with Peter, I landed 3 interviews with companies that I targeted. I interviewed 5 times with 2 of the companies via video, and I landed my first job as a Marketing Analyst with a top five advertising firm on the East Coast within 90 days.

I would highly recommend Peter to help organize and take the necessary steps to land your job. I learned there are no shortcuts and that breaking down the process into steps kept me on point.

Thanks Peter

I graduated with an engineering degree from University of Washington in 2022. I have been looking for a field engineering role for nearly a year. I have been stuck and I needed a more focused approach. The stress of the job search did not allow me to land any interviews within my field of interest.

Peter helped me to become unstuck by helping me break the job searching process into smaller pieces. I learned that it is not what you know but who you know. Peter set me up on LinkedIn and helped me identify contacts that could assist me in my search. I used these contacts to help me get recommended to the right hiring manager and land my first few interviews.

I was not confident in my interviewing skills. Peter practiced with me to ensure that I was hitting the interviewer's area of interest and needs. I learned that I needed to move quickly in the interview to show that I understood the company's overall objectives and the manager's immediate needs.

I landed 2 interviews with 2 national engineering companies in 30 days and I landed a job as a Jr. Field Engineer within 45 days. I could not have succeeded without an easy approach that kept me on point and organized. I used his opportunity and goals tools to ensure that I did not miss any critical steps.

I am now a Jr. Field Engineering Associate in Denver with a national engineering  firm. I would highly recommend Peter to get things started and organized. His help with the interview process was invaluable in helping me focus on the company and the manager's solutions, not my individual needs.

I will continue to work with Peter on other skills including Managing My Manager and working on extended teams.

Thanks Peter

I am 26 and was a project manager for a computer software company in Northern Colorado. I learned after 2 years that this job was not for me and that I needed to pivot my career.

Peter helped me leverage my previous skills and experience to move into the completely different industry of retail operations and information technology. I was at a loss and felt a strong lack of confidence. I felt that moving careers would be painful and difficult to pull off and I was wrong.

Peter helped me get organized and leverage my computer programming skills and contacts to land my first interview in less than 30 days. I followed a process where I did my research, reached out to the right contacts and gained recommendations that helped me lock down my interviews. It turned out that I was a much better fit for my new role and I felt refreshed and was now happy with my choice of company and industry.

Peter was patient but tough. He did not allow me to feel sorry for myself but instead focus and use my experience to feel confident. I did not allow myself to just land any job, but instead I found my area of passion and targeted industry that is exciting.

I learned quickly that going to work at a company where I was not happy was depressing and not motivating. Now going to work happy is amazing and having a solid approach helped me unlock and land my first choice of roles.

I have recently decided to reenter the workforce after a 4 year gap when raising my children at home. This was a daunting task and I was concerned about my work gap and how this would be perceived by prospective companies. It was also a challenge to decide what career direction would be best.

I needed to start from ground zero, and I was referred to Job-Seeker for help from a former co-worker. I was thrilled to get the assistance I needed to rebuild my confidence and build a solid plan for workforce reentry.

Peter helped me to determine what was my best path based on my passions, existing skills and experience. He helped me leverage my experience in finance and helped me network via LinkedIn to gain support.

After researching job descriptions at 2 national banks, I contacted one of Peter’s 800+ LinkedIn connections. I identified a Director of Finance at Bank of America who agreed to a 20 minute informational interview. Next I was recommended for an interview with a hiring Manager.

Peter helped me craft my customized cover letter and resume for the specific role. Next I role played with Peter via video to prepare for my upcoming interview. After 5 interviews, I was offered the role of Finance Manager in the Corporate Loan Department of B of A.

I was thrilled to have a process based plan and the step by step support from Peter to make this a reality. I would recommend Peter and Job-Seeker who is going through the same job reentry process.
